Deloitte is one of the largest professional services firms with a dedicated team providing corporate finance, tax, accounting and consulting services to the nuclear industry. Deloitte has been heavily involved over the last 10 years advising Government on the restructuring of the Civil Nuclear industry. We acted as reporting accountants on the IPO of British Energy and advised Government on its restructuring. Deloitte conducted financial and commercial due diligence on British Nuclear Group Project Services and vendor due diligence on UKAEA and advised the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority since its creation in 2004. We had a prominent role on a number of assignments advising Government on the wind-up of BNFL and the sale of Westinghouse; a review of the need for a National Nuclear Laboratory and the competition to appoint a contractor to manage the NNL. We are actively involved on current new build projects in the UK and overseas, advising EDF with respect to its UK nuclear new build and NEK, the Bulgarian State owned company, in relation to the Belene Nuclear Power Plant. Deloitte nuclear specialists regularly speak at nuclear conferences and provide commentary to peers on nuclear developments.
