Profile
Based in Carlisle with offices in Workington and Sellafield, Meldrum limited carry out industrial electrical/
instrumentation installation and testing services for companies throughout the UK. Incorporated in 2005
the company has grown to an average turnover of £1.6M GBP with a fulltime workforce of 27 personnel.
We are an accredited member of the ECIA and a participating member of the Sellafield NaECA Contractors Group.
Workforce
Our workforce consists of predominantly local operatives ranging in skills from approved electricians,
electricians, apprentices to labourers. Many of our employees hold current P4 passes and have classified
worker status. In addition to this 8 of our operatives are certified to City and Guilds 2391, for the testing
and inspection of electrical installations. A further 7 operatives are fully trained in parts 1 – 6 ComPEX
Hazardous area installations.
This workforce has enabled the company to build a reputation for quality in the areas of industrial/
commercial electrical installations, hazardous area installations, electrical installation testing, inspection
and certification to NICEIC guidelines.
