Kaymac started life in 1976 as a diving services company, we are now a Civil Engineering company that specialises in marine based civil engineering services throughout Wales and the UK, such as:
· Commercial diving works – including underwater structural surveys and reports, using our own CCTV equipment
· Design and construction of works, including scour rectification on river structures and coastal protection
· Construction or repair of dock & harbour walls
· Confined space surveys, reports and repairs in culverts and similar structures
· Landslip rectification, including soil nailing and specialist geotechnical membranes
· Works on marine timber structures, including viaducts and jetties
· Replacement or refurbishment of dock and tidal gates - we are a preferred subcontractor to Ravestein BV for their UK contracts
· Stone masonry works – such as re-construction of stone walls or headwalls
We have been developing our civil engineering services since the early 1990s and we have worked on a variety of projects for Local Authorities and numerous Civil Engineering, Rail and Utility Companies as well as Consultants. Our clients include: Swansea CC, Bristol City, Neath & Port Talbot, Network Rail, BAM Nuttall, Morrison Construction, Carillion, Birse, Balfour Beatty, Dean & Dyball, Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Ltd, Welsh Water, Wessex Water, ABP, Bristol Docks,, Parsons Brinckerhoff, Capita, Arup, Hyder and Ravestein BV.
Within the management team we employ qualified Civil Engineers, Project Managers, Estimators and Marine Surveyors and Kaymac are members of Constructionline, CECA, ADC (Association of Diving Contractors); have Investor in People certification and are Achilles Verify registered. Our directly employed workforce contains experienced and fully qualified Commercial Divers, who are also qualified in other construction trades. The remainder of our workforce are also multi-skilled, which gives us the versatility to work safely and competently either in or out of the water. All our works systems are in accordance with the requirements of EN ISO 14001 and the company is EN ISO 9001:2000 and CHAS accredited as well as being Link-up approved for Network Rail works.
