Paragon Simulation builds computer simulations of complex business situations that are used to reduce costs by planning more accurately & efficiently. We build (1) Process-models used to prove plant design before implementing, (2) Financial-models used to optimise & track financial performance and (3) Environmental-models used to plan & track carbon abatement projects for example.
Paragon launched in 1992. Since then we have built well over 400 simulation models for organisations like BAA, BBC, Friends-Provident, NHS, Wedgwood, United-Utilities and Xerox. We have worked with Sellafield Limited since 1998 and have supplied dozens of models in the UK & US used to prove and optimise (1) the detailed process design of complex nuclear plant and (2) higher level business strategies. We work very closely with Sellafield project and analysis teams and we’re told that the work has resulted in at least a £100m of cost avoidance.
Our modelling expertise is in the use of simulation software such as Witness, Flexsim & Simul8 and the latest standard business applications (spreadsheet, database, bespoke applications). We can help you select the most appropriate modelling software for your project, we use a modelling & project methodology that gives you full transparency and traceability, the model design is a joint activity so you understand how the model works and get precisely the right reports you need – at the end we supply the simulation model with training & support so you can perform your own what-if analysis.
