Innovation and Suggestion Scheme Panel
A panel has been established to review and assess all ideas submitted from the supply chain, under the newly launched Supply Chain Innovation and Suggestion Scheme.
Representatives from across the business are on the panel including: External Innovation Development, Business Improvement, Business Strategy, ND&MPG Strategy, IP Management, Technology and Innovation Management, Commercial Mangement and the Ombudsman. Additional attendees from across the business will be brought in depending on the nature of the submissions received.
The second panel meeting was held on 15 September. Three new submittals were discussed and one was endorsed for further development, one was rejected (an explanatory letter will be issued to the submittor), and one was not a true innovative idea or suggestion, but a technology transfer possibility, and hence not taken forward at this meeting, but will be dealt with seperately.
Of the previous suggestions received, two were still being worked up in more detail to explore and define the business case for implementation.
It was noted that no ideas or suggestions had yet been received via the online submittal form, but the panel hope for more ideas to come forward as the supply chain become more aware of its existence.
