Job Description:
Construction Engineers and Clerk of Works for the coordination and supervision of construction work. (Sellafield)
Construction Managers / Engineers £38k - £59k
Construction Managers/Engineers manage site aspects of multi-discipline construction projects. These projects can range from multi-million pound single projects to a portfolio of small projects. We seek construction professionals who can not only manage the construction phase of a project but also provide construction knowledge to project teams such as to advise designers and contract staff. Activities include:
- developing construction strategies.
- establishing construction management teams.
- Providing construction expertise to projects teams.
- Delivering Principal Contractor duties in compliance with the CDM Regulations.
- Managing construction contractors and their compliance with site regulations and procedures.
- Developing and promoting construction management best practice.
The following attributes are sought:
- Chartered Engineer or approaching chartered status.
- Previous multi-discipline construction experience ideally 10 to 15 years.
- Ideally with engineering background in nuclear, chemical, or other heavy industry.
Construction Clerks of Works £26 – 42k
Construction Clerks of Works are an integral part of construction management teams and are key to assuring quality and safety. Working within a construction management team this role provides the technical and organisational skills to help manage large multi-discipline construction sites, and involves:
- Surveillance of construction contractors.
- Inspection and acceptance of completed work.
- Monitoring and promoting safety on construction sites.
- Reporting progress and support to commercial activities.
The following attributes are sought:
- 15 to 20 years construction experience.
- Qualified to minimum of appropriate ONC and / or from a trade background.
- Ideally with experience of major multi-disciplined projects.
