Safety success boosts Help for Heroes
Sellafield Ltd has supported Help for Heroes who are benefiting from a £2,000 donation in celebration of Sellafield Ltd’s engineering directorate achieving over one million hours without a lost time accident.
This equates to being accident free for over 858 days - a fantastic achievement for the engineering employees from both the Risley and Sellafield sites.
Dave Roberts, Merseyside County Co-ordinator for Help for Heroes, said: “We are really delighted that Sellafield Ltd has chosen to support Help for Heroes in celebration of their safety success. Help for Heroes provides direct, practical support for our wounded, funding projects and initiatives that make a real difference to the lives of our wounded heroes.”
Mark Tavelli, Deputy Engineering Director, said: “We wanted to celebrate this milestone achievement by supporting a worthy cause and are pleased that Help for Heroes was chosen by our staff and will benefit from our success.”
