'F.UN Kidz on the Move' at the North Face Climbing Wall

Sellafield Ltd has donated £220 towards an activity day for disabled children at the North Face climbing wall as part of its commitment to be a better neighbour.

Families United, a Warrington charity supports disabled children, their families and carers. They have developed a range of services to include opportunities for social interaction for disabled children, opportunities for parents and siblings of disabled children to meet other families in similar situations, parent support groups, counselling, complimentary therapies, information and advice.

Jill Oakes from Families United said: “We aim to provide children with sensory, physical and associated disabilities the opportunity to interact with other families and professionals, enabling learning and social support for all. The activity at the climbing wall was a great way to build the children’s confidence."

Pauline Deans, corporate responsibility manager, Sellafield Ltd, said: “It is great to give children the opportunity to excel in something that is a real challenge and I am sure that their parents were really proud of their achievements.”
