Project Managers Forum
Over 180 Sellafield Ltd project managers attended the latest Project Management Forum in Lancaster in September.
With an eclectic agenda consisting of presentations, interactive workshops and facilitated sessions the forum was designed to engage the project management community in driving forward improvements, generate a feeling of empowerment and make a difference to our project delivery.
John McGrady, project manager, said: “These events are a good opportunity to get together every six months to share and learn from each others projects.
“This is the third project manager’s forum I have attended and it’s nice to see some old faces and meet new project managers, which is very beneficial.”
Launching the forum Bruce Klein, deputy decommissioning director, presented a safety share before Bill Condon, project management director, encouraged all attendees to get involved in the day’s activities and to take away learning and implement it back at the work place.
The ongoing professional development of the project management community was also covered at the event with an outline of the development of the project management career path.
Nick Jones, membership development manager at the Association of Project Managers, said: “The forum has been excellent and it is good to have senior level speakers at the forum demonstrating their commitment to the project manager’s professional development scheme”.
