Calder Towers Demolition Project - Provisional date set for demolition
As momentum gains for the final phases of the Cooling Towers Demolition Project and to allow for the planning of essential resource, we feel it is now appropriate to start communicating the date that the project team are striving to achieve.
Although there is no reason to believe that this date, Saturday 29 September, is not achievable it should be noted that the date cannot be confirmed until a number of caveats have been met. These are that the Nuclear Installations Inspectorate grant the final licence instrument, and that all of the required mitigating measures, as defined within the project implementation plan are in place.
Further information will be communicated upon receipt of the Licence Instrument at which time the date will be confirmed.
