Euan Hutton
Biography
Euan Hutton was appointed as Sellafield Ltd’s interim Chief Executive Officer in 2023. He has enjoyed a 31-year career in the national and international nuclear industry, a career he started at Sellafield as a graduate.
He has previously held senior leadership roles with responsibility for the decommissioning of our highest nuclear risks and hazards on the Sellafield site, giving him extensive understanding of Sellafield’s operations and challenges.
Euan was appointed as director of environment, health and safety in 2016, where he supported the transition of the company to being a wholly owned subsidiary of the NDA.
As interim site director, Euan was responsible for the operations of the Sellafield site.
Most recently, as Chief Nuclear Officer, Euan was accountable for ensuring that decisions taken in the leadership of Sellafield did not adversely impact nuclear safety and security, and that these remained the overriding priority for our business.
Euan is a passionate advocate of mental health, openly sharing his own experiences to encourage employees to talk about their own mental health and seek support.
