Frank WinterDirector

Frank is Vice President of Customer Relations and Strategy and head of AMEC’s programme management business. He is also global sector lead for AMEC’s nuclear business.

A chartered engineer, Frank is responsible for leading the development of strategies within AMEC’s fast-developing nuclear portfolio, including nuclear new build. Calling on his 30-year senior management experience within the nuclear sector, Frank has established strong stakeholder relationships in a challenging business environment and has a proven track record of customer-focused project delivery, leading and delivering change and accelerated nuclear decommissioning in a cost-constrained, competitively won management and operations contract environment.

Frank is a firm believer in a true partnering style of management. It is this strategy that has led to a series of successes with both trade unions and workforce in the development of a number of key projects.

Frank was a key member of that executive team that led the successful competition and subsequently managed the nuclear regulated Atomic Weapons Manufacturing and Research sites (Aldermaston, Burghfield and Cardiff) for AWE plc at director level, where the team exceeded performance targets for three consecutive years. He instilled a rigorous health and safety culture which culminated in the winning of the prestigious Sir George Earle Trophy, awarded by RoSPA for outstanding safety achievement.
