Doug CooperDeputy Managing Director - Operations
Doug joined Sellafield Ltd in early 2011 following his post as President and General Manager at the Yucca Mountain repository project in Nevada - probably one of the most challenging senior roles in the nuclear industry.
Doug has vast experience in the nuclear industry, having worked in the commercial sector in the US for the best part of 30 years.
Prior to his role at the Yucca Mountain project, Doug managed major transition programmes at a number of the US¹s leading commercial nuclear power plants and has an impressive track record of delivery.
Originally from Kentucky, Doug and his wife are now living in Whitehaven.
