In January we launched a new scheme called Community Choices – offering not-for-profit charities and community groups the chance to apply for grants for their good causes and letting the public decide who will get the funding.
Over the last few weeks community groups across Cumbria have been applying in the hope that this funding could help make their projects a reality.
Applications have now been shortlisted and it is time to cast your votes!
You can help decide which of those shortlisted will receive funding and ultimately help make Cumbria a better place to live.
To see the list of projects and place your votes visit decidingtogether.org . Voting closes on 26th March.
Helen Fisher, head of social impact for Sellafield Ltd, said: “Community Choices is all about local people taking the future of their area into their own hands.
“We are looking to support projects which people value the most. I’d urge everyone who cares about their community to get voting.”
