At Sellafield Ltd we recognise that the Cumbrian people know what is best for their community, this is why we are letting them decide who gets our support.
The new ‘Community Choices’ campaign offers not-for-profit organisations the chance to apply for grants for their charity or community group – and it’s the public who will ultimately decide who gets the money.
Are you planning a project that could have a real impact in our community? The Community Choices programme might be able to help. Put your project forward, get through shortlisting, encourage your friends, family and the general public to vote for you, and you could receive funding to help make that project idea a reality.

The application process is open until 12th February, a shortlist will then be drawn up and the public will be invited to vote for the projects that they feel should receive the support to help make our communities an even better place to live and work.
The scheme is being launched by Sellafield Ltd and supported by its partners CN Group – publishers of the Times & Star – CFM, Phoenix Enterprise Centre, of Cleator Moor, and Cumbria Community Foundation.
Helen Fisher, head of social impact for Sellafield Ltd, said: “Community Choices is all about local people taking the future of their area into their own hands.
“This is an opportunity to support the charities and community groups people value most.
“It also gives those charities and community groups a fantastic platform to showcase the great work they do.
“I’d urge everyone who cares about their community to get involved.”
